The RAA Painted Palette Auction gives collectors of fine art the opportunity to bid on an original and unique form of art, and to benefit the Association. The exceptional artists of the RAA have produced a collection of fine paintings for this event. Instead of framed canvasses, however, these paintings are done on wood artist's palettes. Many fine paintings will be sold for a fraction of what they would cost in a frame on canvas. This is a rare opportunity to affordably own the work of a favorite painter and support a worthy cause.
Painting pictures on palettes is an old tradition among painters, and have often been given as gifts from one artist to another. Continuing this tradition, the artists of the RAA are making these palettes as a gift to their organization. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the RAA in its entirety. Even if you cannot attend, you can view these fabulous paintings -- nearly 100 of them -- online.
