The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston will open a special exhibit of Dutch masterpieces beginning October 11. So there will be two free lectures in the Walpole Library associated with this exhibition.
Noted docent Beth Knaus will first present "the Northern Renaissance" on Thursday evening, Oct. 15, at 7 o'clock. Then two weeks later, Thursday evening, Oct. 29, she will discuss the art and struggles of the two most famous Dutch painters, Rembrandt and Vermeer.
